# Good websites should not cost a fortune

We started PixelCake in a kitchen in 2018 with one belief: a website should be as delightful to use as a warm kanelbulle is to eat. Most small firms never get that, because a proper rebuild has always been priced like an enterprise project. We changed how we build so it is not.

## What we knead by

### Fast, and properly built

Modern tooling lets us rebuild in days rather than weeks or months. We pass the saving on rather than padding the invoice.

### Honest by default

A fixed price and a real date before we start. No hourly creep, no mystery ingredients.

### You own everything

Your domain, your hosting, your content, your code. Leaving us should be easy, so staying is a choice.

### Built to outlast us

Boring, well-supported foundations you can hand to any developer in five years without an apology.

## Meet the bakers

### Johan — Websites & code

Builds the fast, tidy sites. Happiest when a page loads before you blink and the code still makes sense in five years.

### Hannah — Marketing & visibility

Makes sure the right people — and the odd AI assistant — actually find you. Turns “we have a website” into “customers keep calling.”

## Life at PixelCake

Fika at 3, code reviews with cinnamon, and the occasional dance-break when a build goes green.
